Heres a quick drawing i made on paint of how far my wheels and tires stick out, this is pretty close to how it really is

will the 2" lift be enough to keep the tires from ripping off my flairs? sorry for the crumby work on the picture, not too good with paint. Also, if the tires will rub, could i use bumpstops or something of that sort to keep them from rubbing?
I have 31/11.5/15's on Sim Bead-locks offset (12x15) with 4 1/2 lift and I rubbed real bad had to cut the flairs up. I do have very wide tires though...Tj

I used a hacksaw.

I dunno man. I kinda agree with the guy above about the 30x9.5's. Especially if its going to be mostly street driven. I know I noticed a slight difference in power with my 30's compared to my 225's. A 2" lift looks good with a 30" tire and you still have room and streetability. I have 30's on my stock suspension and they just look too stuffed in there. A 2" would give it that perfect stance.

What is the backspace on your wheels? Wheels that stick out further means the tire will be right under the fender flare, where the factory wheels tuck them under the flare. My friend has a 2" BB and 31's on his '89. He got cragars with 4" backspacing and he rubbed his fenders pretty bad on turns. With stock wheels, he only rubbed the LCA's at full lock and never rubbed the fenders. This was all street driving. He actually went to 235's yesterday because he commutes to Cape Cod on the weekends and was tired of the horrible mileage.

alright so... i had a 1.5" tera flex budget boost. i had 265/70R15(30.6/10.4515) General Grabber AT2 on stock wheels and i rubbed bad. When i turned you could here and feel it rubbing the lower control arms. the tires stuffed good with stock wheels in the rear....stuffed real good right into the back inner fender well... there was black half circles from it rubbing all of the time. And i kept having to straiten my fender back out because when a little bit of flex would and i turned it would catch the back of the flares in the front and would bend them in or out..... then i got 4" back spacing soft 8's..... and well flexed them a bit on the same trails and then had nice 1/2"-3/4" slices all in my tires..... so I trimmed! but the damage to the tires as still done....

so 2" and 31s should be fine if its a street rig? the ol' girls only 2wd and gonna be driven on the highway, so im not worried about a loss of power. i just dont want it to be rubbing every time i turn a little or every time i hit a bump
