can it be done without a spring compressor?

going to install my lift kit tom. was wondering if i need a spring compressor to get the front springs on or can be done another way...i do not have a spring compressor so i am open to ideas thanks again!

I dont use a spring compressor. just drop the axle far enough to put spring in. not very hard. you will need to disconnect more stuff though like all the control arms. brake calipers and trac bar.

if your removeing the control arms, even just the lower ones disco the driveshaft when you have everything else you need out and the axle should drop to the floor. the driveshaft bottems out after little downtravel and can hold the axle in place.
jack up the front, remove what you need to IE: if your adding discos, trac bar or control arms then disco the driveshaft and the axle should drop to the floor. slam it all back together and have some fun!

I have used a racheting tie down strap like the ones for quads. and it will give enough so not everything has to be disco'd. But depending on your kit it may be easy with what you have to disco anyway.
