Oh and what led me to believe it was malfunctioning because I went to advance auto and he scanned it since I don't have a scan tool, it happen last year once and haven't felt it act up since today

I did 98 xj straight 6 4.0L I just cleaned the plug and see if it's it before I buy a camshaft position sensor

It helps to write down the exact code and post it. ^ Never a bad idea. How was it acting up.

Just turned it on and engine light came on and it ran kinda rough like a rough idel once in a while
