CA Smog results barely passed
I barely passed this time and will most likely fail the next time if I don't get this sorted and I don't want to be scrambling after I have already failed so I need some help to get this thing up to snuff so here are the numbers

1. Clean throttle body and idle air control sensor.
2. Clean all of the vacuum fittings on the intake manifold. Some get clogged up.
3. Clean any sensors on your intake. There should be one with an electrical connector.
4. New O2 sensor. NTK ONLY! DO NOT USE ANY OTHER BRAND.
5. New CCV elbows and grommets on your valve cover.
Helping your engine breathe better will go a long way. Run an injector cleaner in your gas tank and manually clean your injectors by pulling them out. Give them new o-rings if they need them.

cleaned throttle body and the entire intake when I pulled the intake and exhaust to do the gasket and weld the cracks on the exhaust manifold, did the IAC, replaced TPS cleaned others, figured a new O2 should help
The cat LOOKS new along with some shody exhaust work, though it is about a foot back from where it should be, would that affect operation of the cat since they have to heat up to operate properly, the reason behind the freeway driving trick before the test?

i would put the cat back where it should be...it is there for a reason...it has to get hot to do its job correctly... that right there could be the main reason for the high #s.... do what you want from the cat back but I would put the cat in the correct postion...something tells me that 02 may not be in the stock spot??? if not get it where it should be...another possible cause of high readings.
