We get that question every once in a while and the general consensus is that you need to pull the cover and take a look. Punkin Dunkin?
I got my build sheet from Chrysler last evening and was wondering if maybe this could be a way to tell the easy way. The DOM on my XJ's door frame is 7/96 (build sheet: ISD 08/26/96?) and I know I have some '97 parts. The code info on the sheet for the 8.25 is DRAS. If someone had a build sheet and knew they had a 29 spline 8.25 maybe the code info would match. Or vise versa. A 27 spline 8.25 and the build sheet info.
