Left front speaker is not working. Just installed a speaker as none was there. Manual says connector c305 is between radio and speaker. Anyone know the location of said connector. My doors are removable and I need to make sure that it's plugged in or even exists still.

 

Did you install speakers into the doors? Not sure what you are referring to but the speakers with the factory head may already be there.

 

What year XJ is this?


The '99-'01 has G305 under the right front passenger seat.

 

Sorry. 98 xj. There was no speaker in the door so I installed one. Yes I tested it first and it works. Factory harness was cut at the speaker. Had a factory connector laying around that I had to solder leads onto because it was cut short. Then reconnected it with crimp butt connectors. I wanted to check to be sure it was plugged in before I pull the radio. Also to check continuity I was going to check from radio connector to c305 first. TIA

 

Hey ken. I just realized you thought G but it's C. Manual shows left front speaker wires from radio connector to c305. Then from c305 to speaker in left front door. Thinking it's probably in the drivers kick panel so I'll check down there for the correct wire color. There's I think 4 connectors that run to the door there. Need to check continuity from there to speaker first.
