A/C trouble ! Power windows !
Does my 2001 Cherokee have a fan control module behind passenger side headlight ? Does anyone have a drivers side power window / window lock/power mirrow control panel ?

2. All XJs have control switch panels. If you mean does anyonr have one for sale check the For Sale section.
Are you trying to fix a specific problem?

Fuse is good?
In 2001 the auxiliary fan won't come on until the engine coolant temperature hits 218°F or the A/C refrigerant pressure hits a certain threshold. 1999 was the last year for the fan coming on at the same time as the compressor.

Go here and read post #42. It describes the switch functions in the 2000/2001 AC system.
https://www.cherokeeforum.com/f2/gre...e-6558/index3/
The Freon charge (pressure) in your AC system may be low.
You can check the electric fan circuit by removing the connector from the Engine Coolant Temperature sensor on the thermostsat housing and starting the engine. If the fan works, the fuses, relay, fan, PCM, and wiring are good. You will get a CEL because of this but it will go away on its own.
If the fan doesn't work check the 40 amp Rad Fan fuse in the PDC.

If it's okay, check fuse #10 in the Junction Block.

If the fuses are okay, you can jumper the fan connector by back probing the Blue wire with a safety pin and connecting the safety pin to the positive post of the battery post. With the connector attached, the ground to the fan is provided so there's no need to jumper it.

The Rad Fan relay in the PDC cannot be swapped with another relay to see if the relay is bad.

Thank you so much for info but replaced hi pressure switch yesterday which I understand controls fan also, fan never came on but don't think it got to 218degrees either but if fan helps regulate pressure it could still kick off compressor because it kicked off ?

It will also turn on when the engine coolant temperature reaches 223*F.

I had an AC issue last summer. Everything checked out good. Did a little research and found that there is a shim in the compressor clutch pulley. Removed pulley, took out the tiny shim, put pulley back on. After that I've had zero issues. There's a video on YouTube to show you how to remove the shim.
