Default C-ROK??

I tried to order some rear quarter armor from C-Rok today, but I was told they no longer make it b/c of low demand.

Does anyone know who makes a similar product to this??

Here's a link: http://www.c-rok.com/qp.html

All help is appreciated!

Honestly these would be pretty easy to make.
Get steel, Cut a cardboard template, Cut steel to match, Put steel in vice, use weight/leverage to bend steel, Bend to fit, Bolt on.

If I had an XJ I'd be running them.

I agree they could be made, however they're using 3/16" steel. I don't know it could be bent easily and precisely.

Maybe I am wrong though... just a thought.

I made some..... there are not 3/16, but I just cut out the basic shapes and welded it all togather and ground down the welds.

Rusty's Offroad makes them.

Id go with the THOR corners too. My buddy runs them and they hold up well to anything that touches em.

Another company is supposed to be coming out w/ quarter guards, and a few other things. I forget who right now, but if I find the post again I'll reference it. I saw it on one of the 4 xj boards I visit and it was a manufacturer. Relatively cheap also.

THOR is beef, I want a set, but don't know if I want to pony up the $.

Thanks! I didn't know Rusty's offers them. I will check into it.

I saw the Thor rear quarter gaurds, and like you, I don't want to pony up the $350 on them. But, they are sweet. The only downside is they don't cover the lower rear quarter, and mine has a rust hole in it...

Thanks for all the input so far!

The Rusty's ones are pretty cheap (crappy I mean). Here's a company that makes guards for the rear quarters, & then some. They have armor for the XJ that I have never seen anywhere else. I have their upper quarter panel guards and they are pure beef. CLICK HERE & then click on Products

Also Rock Lizard Fab sells some & Jeeping Outfitters sell the Hanson version.

If you do not already have a rear bumper, the C-Roc bumper has the corner guards... all one piece.

I've gotta save up and get some body armor.

Quaker town, we were thinking the exact same thing. I have been looking for a set of these. I was thinking of ordering the Rustys (they are half the price), but instead of using those weak rivets, I was going to drill holes and mount them w/bolts and washers. Kinda like the c-rok. That's too bad c-rok is not making them anymore. They are probably the best value as well.

BLKXJ 96, awesome work! About how much time and money did it take to make them?

I dont get the fascination with these, but anyway...THeres some posted on craigslist in seattle under autoparts. I got the impression it was a shop that builds them. pretty cheap I think, $130 pair.

Now onto my rant. whya the hell would anybody put these on a rig to protct it? sure you might save dents, but you drill big friggin holes into the body, therebye allowing it to rust out. And you have big holes.

Mike H. - I like the C-Rok bumper, but I think I would get killed on freight to Ohio...

djlarroc - check out the first link by _station wagon_... they make some phenomenal stuff by the looks of it!

Moneypit - I agree with you. I don't know that they add a whole lotta strength, but they are better to look at than the hole in my lower rear quarter.

** With all this being said, I might just go with the "Tanker Bumper" from AJ's Offroad Armor. He's a super nice guy, and he actually returned a call!
That bumper will eliminate the lower rear quarters all together, but I am a little sensitive about the cutting and folding part, haha.

_stationwagon_ - I called TFS and they never returned my call???
