Exclamation A/C, heat issue

I have a 2000 Jeep Cherokee Classic which I purchased used when I got back from Iraq in '03. I got it from a family friend and I know that they took care of it. It now has 186k on it and it is running great. I have had very few issues with it and I love it to death. Right now the one issue that I am having is when I have the heat or AC on I can only select blower speed 4 on the controls to get anything out of it. I have a feeling that it is the Heat + A/C control switch unit but I wanted to get your opinions on it. Let me know what you think.
Thanks for the Help

u only have #4 because the fan motor is burnt up... buy a new fan motor and resistor and youll be good... in fact u could probly pull the resistor out and see that its burnt up... they burn up cause the fan burns up... its located near the blower motor and should have 2 wires coming from it... normally taken out with only 2 screws... no big deal! both can get at autoparts store... maybe $50 at the most for both...
