a/c evap removal

i think i have a freon leak at the evap under the dash, how hard is it to get out on a scale from 1-10 1 being the easiest?

TEN!!! as in pita and time. disconnect steering, pull dash, remove heater box, replace evaporator, and put it all back together. test and you're done.

10. The bad part about it is that you don't know if you fixed it until you have it ALL back together.

One would presume a new evap had been factory pressure tested so any leak(s) would be somewhere under the hood and that part can almost be done blind folded.
