A/c clutch problems

A/c clutch problems
Trying to get my a/c working in time or summer. Can't figure out why my compressor clutch doesn't engage. When I use a paper clip to jump the ac clutch relay in the power distribution center under the hood, the clutch kicks in and the vents blow cold air. If the vents blow cold air I assume the freon levels should be good, but to double check I put a pressure gauge on the freon insert valve thing. The gauge pressure read perfect. I swapped the relay with the identical fog light relay and still the clutch will not engage.
Can anybody give me some advice??

Normally if it comes on when you jump the relay it mean that the pressure is to low. I don't know if you want to try to give it another pressure check with a different gauge or even try to add just a little freon just to see if it does come on. If you do over fill it you can always take a little back out. The only reason I am suggesting to add a little freon is last week end I was working on my girlfriends car and it also read that it had the correct pressure. But, once I added a little more freon it started working correctly. Let us know what you find out. Good Luck on getting it fixed.

I'll give that a try this weekend, thanks. But i tried to use the paper clip to jump the low pressure sensor and I still couldn't get it goin. Does that have anything to do with my problem?
