Hi I just bought a 93 country Cherokee 4.0 high output. Any ways its got problem when i turn A.C. on it blows it from the defrost vents I don't known what to do. second problem is every time i idle my oil guage goes from 40 to 75

Please help its my first heep

Your system defaults to defrost when there is no vacuum to the controls. You will need to chase the leak down. You don't state what year your vehicle is, but some have a resevoir in the passenger fender well and the others have a thing that looks like a bomb behind the right front bumper. Check them and the lines going to and from.

 

X2,also make sure the vacuum lines coming in are not plugged,start at the intake and trace the line to the resevoir, then the climate controller,at some point you will find the issue.
