Little different out here....hard to find the 97+'s in the junk yards....it's all pre 97's and mainly about 88-93's......dont think i've ever seen a 97+ in a junkyard in Charlotte.

Yeah I'd rebuild it as long as there is no frame damage or motor damage..if it's just body fix it...

I would if I had the time to mess with it but I don't. I work 7 days a week most weeks ontop of school now back in swing (first week of classes was this week...GREAT timing).

Sawzall and a BFH and make it a dedicated trail rig. Take the 3300 and buy another for DD.

Park it until Thanksgiving break and fix it then. You evidently have alternate transportation. So buy it back, fix it ASAP and keep the memories.
BTW tie down the HiLift & spare in the future.

That would be my first question to the insurance co.! It may have some work needing to be done, but that is nothing but a little time at the JY and it's back!
I have seen that plenty of times!

I am temporarily borrowing mom's KJ and she's driving the rental since i'm not old enough to get one (stupid laws). Once they total it we have to give the rental back, which means I've got to give the KJ back, so i've got to come up with another Jeep ASAP.

And as much as i'd really like to build it up as a trail rig, I just really don't have to time to mess with it....but I don't know, i'll have to think about it. My main goal is to get into another one as quick as possible.

Are you going to rebuy your old one? Only reason I ask is didn't you just put a new lift on it?

Who cares if you have to use the other style front clip, it's still your XJ underneath!! All that stuff interchanges, you'd have to use the fenders from the different body style as well!! I vote that you keep it, and beast it out!! That's just MHO!! Later!!

That's the plan. But this is almost entirely out of my hands, as the Jeep is in my mom's name (she's just been reaping the benefits of my paying the payment on it every month earlier then when it's due for almost the last 4 years). Right now she's trying to put me in her Liberty while she takes the money from insurance for my XJ and buys a Prius, because the Silverado is falling apart (maybe had they got rid of it two years ago when it began to drink coolant by the gallon and burn oil by the quarts like I told them to, it wouldn't be a pile of ***** sitting in the driveway like it is now). Oh, and the problems on the truck are apparently my fault now because i've been working on it, trying to fix it for the last couple of years.

<---- me right now

Thats funny, I've done the same thing Blue!! I think it'd be cool to throw people off,"what year is your Cherokee"?? "it's not a Cherokee, it's a Waggy"!! "But....WTF?????"

Yeah I've considered the waggy front clip like Strykers with the quad headlights too.
