Burning oil, gas, something smell coming from heater vents when heater on? Help?
Hopefully someone can help me out here. I have a smell coming from my vents that is only really noticeable when I am at idle with heater on. It started last night. I don't really notice the smell when under the hood. I can't pinpoint the exact smell, but it seem like an oil or gas smell almost burning like.
I noticed my coolant reservoir was empty this morning. I have had my radiator, water pump, thermostat, and cap replaced in the last year so I have no leaks in the coolant system. The engine has not been overheating as well. I added coolant this morning, drove for about a half hour and coolant level looks good now. I checked oil, and no milky color, and no white smoke coming from exhaust, so I think head gasket is okay.
Anyone have any ideas? Thanks for any help!

My '91 4.0 does it when stopped. My problem is oil leaking from the oil filter adapter. Kit from MOPAR $6.00. But I've read getting the adapter off is a dog due to the genessess at Dodge using red lock-tite.
