Look closer at the cable and you tell me... lol

Yes, I've used it a good bit!

So far, it has not let me down. BUT, the only reason I'm satisfied with it is because it was so cheap. It's quite slow and what I mean when I say quite slow is EXTREMELY slow. The way I figure, when I'm stuck I'm not really in a hurry so it works just fine for me.

Another thing, the controller does not like sitting in a puddle of water for an extended period of time, several weeks. I knocked a hole in the windshield and it sat in my drive for 3 weeks before I fooled with it. The tarp I had thrown over it had been leaking in the rain and the controller was sitting in about 3 inches of water for a while. It no longer works properly. I wired a switch to my dash to work the winch and ordered another controller through the warranty. I have not recieved it yet.

Further more, the winch was able to pull a K5 Blazer with 40s burried up to its frame in mud out with little problem. I had to let it cool off in the middle tho. Make sure you order a nice ****** block to go with it and you won't have anyproblems with it.

Yes mine is slow too. It has not overheated though. I would not be willing to bet that my controller could handle extended periods in a watery environment either. Mine stays under the back seat in a big Zip lock bag.
The TJ I pulled out was trying to cross a wooden bridge made for cattle to cross a canal and it would not support his weight. Down he went nose first. But he came out slick as snot.

Meh, It's not the easiest to pull the cotter pin out of it but it's fairly easy to get to the pin. I stick my hand thru the big hole in the P to pull the pin and put my hand behind the bumper to pull the main pin. It doesn't look like enough room but it is. I'm satisfied with it.

Thanks

Also, I know it's been a while but the two manufacturers that make ready to build kits are Iron Scorpion and a fella from NAXJA that goes by Ukraine Train, his name is Alex.
