bumper/winch
I want to purchase a winch and mount it on a 2" hitch plate, so I can move from front to back if necessary. Know a good place ro find a bumper or just a 2" receiver hitch for the front of my 91 cherokee??

do you plan on just having the winch in the cargo area of the jeep and wait til you need it then put it on the end you need it. Would have to make sure its tied down pretty good or you;ll have 80lbs[a guess] of metal rolling around in the cargo area
only problem with running a hitch with the winch adapter plate is that it stucks a little too far too keep it on while going through the trails
Also how often do you see yourself needing to winch yourself backwards anyways.
most people who have a rear winch is so they can compress the rear suspension to prevent the rear from unloading during a steep down hill decent,..

yes and I don't know if I would trust a 2" reciever on a hard side pull..those are made for towing in a strait line, not hard yanking from all directions...I'd mount it permanently if I were you...like was said..you don't want 80 lbs flying at you or anything else for that matter
