What Do You Think
Hello, This is my first post on the forum so my apologies if I placed in the wrong section.
2000 XJ: What is better for supporting a heavy winch/bumper: RE 3.5'' front coils (240 rating) or 4.5'' coils (160 rating)?
Desired net height: 3.25"
I currently have a 3'' RC front coil with .75'' spacer. 3'' AAL in rear. My front end is "sagged" .5'' in the front because of the heavy bumper/winch (synthetic line). So I wanted to remove the old RC coil and spacer and replace with a good quality coil and give me the .5'' boost. Thank you for your consideration.

The RE coils should improve where you're at but might give more lift than desired. Zone/BDS 3" coils are also 240#. Unfortunately you will just have to roll the dice and see where you end up. They will definitely do better than the RC coils.
Where are you located? I have some 3" Zone coils I would give away but I wont ship them.

I have the 4.5" re coils and they are super soft. I got 5.5" lift from them. The 3.5" net on average 4.25 from what I've observed and would probably better suit your desired ride height.

Welcome to the forum glad to see new members. This happens with a lot of kits this company use's all American made springs leafs and coils about the only one to do so on entry level kits.
Go to Rustys Off Road and buy his 3" HD coils made for winch/bumper combo's his 3" lift kits come with a choice of 2 coil setups a std. and the HD. I had the HD with mine and was perfect with my bumper (light) and winch (95#) steel cable. It still ride's well even with the HD spring installed.

I have a set of RE 4.5" coils in the garage I was gonna exchange for the RE 3.5"s However if the 3.5s will net about 4" in the front then that's no good for me either. Will BDS or Rustys give me the 3" I'm looking for? (Including my extra weight) What about OME HD zj coils?

The HD Rustys coils will give you the proper lift for a 3" lift with the winch/bumper combo as he states, if the rear is correct also. The rear should be a little higher than the front in all lifts. You need to consider where some of these springs are coming from and the weights they really are. The ones coming from China do not have much in the way of quality control for a lot of things.
