Hey guys. So just installed a 3.5" RE Super-Ride kit with 2" front lower bump stops on each side. On one side, the upper bump stop was dry rotted and broke off. I don't want my shocks to bottom out, so I was wondering what would be better...

those OE-style repalcements are crap, they are not OE. I wasted a few of them. I have the Daystar extended poly on my DD they seem fine, and I've even wheeled it further than the mall.
Dunno anything about the RE.

 

Do you think thatd be too much if I already hae 2" bump stops?

Flex it out and then take a look then u can measure and get it where u want it Every rig and setup are a lil diff.

I always like the idea of drillin out huckey pucks and using those.

 

I already have the 2" lower bump stops. I guess my question should be, what should I do to make my upper bump stops stock length or just a liiitle longer? Don't wunna limit my flex too much but I know I need at least stock height upper bump stops.

Nah you're fine. I think I'm gunna go with the 2" RE ones. Apparently they fit on XJs. Anyone tried this?

Thanks for that! When they advertise the size, they are advertising the amount that actually is exposed once put in, correct?

 

Also,

I just measured the one shock without a bump stop... I measure the exposed shaft of the shock which was just at 5.75". The shock area from top of bottom bump stop to bottom of top bump stop holder was just under 6". It needs to be anything under 5.75", correct? with the closer to 5.75 the better?
