The quality of spacers and shackles will, for the most part, be the some among all companies but the price will not. If you order spacers, shackles, and shocks from Skyjacker, your looking at $300. I have a local shop can can probably hook it up for a third of the price. Give me a minute and i'll dig up their web site.

Here ya go man. I can vouch for their spacers, but i'm sure their shackles are good quality as well. And you can't beat the price.

I used their spacers for 3 years on my last XJ and they didn't show any signs of wear. For a little more you should add some shocks too.

if you have a press, or access to one, go with JK shocks. they're good for 2 inches of lift, you just need to press in bar pins and ream out the rubber bushings to get them to fit on the XJ. they're pretty cheap too. i got mine for $40

Yeah ill end up adding new leafs also cuz my old ones are showing alot of wear and sag. For now i can only afford stock size tires (A/T Mud tires) do you think those will look to small?

rocky road makes some very nice stuff. If you're looking for good beefy shackles then go with them, i swear i dont believe you could bend them if you tried. So far the coil spacers have did very well, no complaints/wearing from them.
around 180 bucks shipped to your house....oh and BPE's are completely unnecessary

So then if its cheaper to just do shackles in the rear then why do people even bother with a bastard pack? like whats really the difference? I get that they are physically different but as far as the way they ride, are they any different?

People prefer bastard packs over shackles when their springs are sagging. A shackle will make a saggy spring much worse. I'm thinking of doing a bastard pack set up on mine too sometime before winter as my springs are completely flat. If my springs were in good shape I would go straight for a shackle kit because all I really want are 2-3" of lift.

shackles will give you the exact same ride you had before. A bastard pack really depends on how its put together and what its put together with. Some have said it rides even better than it did before, some say it rides worse, and some say it rides the same. Shackles wont hurt your springs unless they are REALLY saggy. mine were flat and almost inverted and it hasnt affected them one bit. And if you get shackles, get rocky road. I have yet to find a beefier shackle anywhere or on anything.

So if you don't mind could you put together a parts list of a bastard pack for me to reference off of?? I don't have a clue where to start to build one. I can install all of it but putting together is out of my experience ha. And I hear some Ppl use s10 leafs but I only want like a 2" lift.
