Bring it back and get the correct one. No jerry-rigging brake systems - your life depends on it
so i took the line back to NAPA auto, they told me that the part # was correct, & that their computer showed that the 99 dakota has a center-axle-mounted banjo fitting that is an "L" shape, & not a "T". usually NAPA is on top of their sh**, but now i'm stuck. should i just fork out the $ to get a "real" xj extended line (possibly ss), or keep pursuing this?

PS pump will not swap.

Steering gear box is what will swap. Must be out of a 98-99 Durango with the V8 engine. See my swap thread here:

Go somewhere else - it's not the right part. It MUST have the correct "T" fitting. It's confusing how they could have it wrong since it's basically the same axle as is in our trucks...

Do they have to be mustang injectors or can they be out of any Ford 5.0L (a truck for example)

Must be the "yellow stick" 19# injectors - model number 0280155710
,
and if your cherokee is pre-1996 you need to upgrade the fuel pressure regulator as well.

However these are by far not the best ones to use. I recommend the neon *703 injectors over these any day

That looks good was it just a bolt in or did you have to oval out a couple holes?

I would like to know this as well. What modifications did you have to make to get it to fit?

Anyone know how to replace the mechanical clutch fan with an electric fan? Not sure how to wire it or if a relay is needed

a relay IS needed.

wiring strictly depends on how you want to activate it (key on, on/off switch, or temp sensor switch)

and the ford taurus dual fans are a popular option.

Where would I get a temp sensor switch? Or would one from a Taurus work in my XJ?
