How hard would it be putting pre 96 seats in a 97+ xj?

They should bolt right in no problem. I got 97 seats in my 95

'95 through '01 should bolt in. Anything older ('84 - '94), and you'll have to swap seat tracks, but they'll still fit.

Take them out to the XJ and hold them up to the spring and box.. Are they going to fit??????

Well yeah they look like they would fit. But the have a slight bend in them so I was asking if it would work still. Or if anyone else has done it.

I used '88 chevy 1500 shackles with a slight bend...still running them actually

Alright so yesterday I went to jy and they didn't have any 97 plus cherokees for the center council but they had tons of grand Cherokees with cup holders would this work? Has any one ever tried this?

Ok, thanks, been gone a few days and was aboit to order shafts and a detroit, but I wont bother now. Id thought about going this route because newer XJs are still not to be found in the junk yards in my area, ill just save my money and get the 8.8 in.
