hey guys new to the forum. i have a 2000 cherokee sport bone stock. im lookin to put a 2" of lift on a college budget. what are my options and what size tires can be put on this lift. thanks guys

2" bb= 30 inch tires
3" lift= 31s
4" lift = 32s
6" lift = 33s
if you take your flares off.. the number increases//

The only sucky part about a xj is that its Unibody.. no body lifts!

You can throw a 2" spacer on the front and I would go with a shackle in the rear over an add a leaf.That would fit a 31" 10.50 for street use and they might rub a little at full turn.But they would rub pretty bad on the trail.Depending on if it is a daily driver strictly or if it will see the trail's,you can alway's do some fender trimming.You should be able to get what you need 150 or less -tire's of choice.That will be you budget buster,hope that help's.
umm yeah 2in spacers for the front and 2in blocks or drop shackles for rear. and new shocks are a must! you can get away with it for a while but i would go with a longer shock as soon as you can. and it will only take about 3 hours for the whole lift if you know what you are doing lol. and it will only be about 150 to 200 depends on where you get them.

Are you willing to cut out your fenders? You can do a 3" lift for little of nothing if there is a pull-a-part near your house.
Front lift
v8 ZJ coil spring - 2" lift
Stock XJ coil spacer - .75 lift"
Rear lift
S-10 rear leaf springs from a 2wd model in the early 90's
or
Dodge Dakota from about the same year.
Shocks
Either Rusty's for 30 bucks a peice.
or
Using Rear XJ swaybar end links make some BPE's then a custom 3" spacer for your shocks.
Trac bar
Just redrill it.
Sway bar links
Use Front ZJ links and make some homemade swaybar links
Just remove the rear
This is all the things you'll have to worry about in most cases. If I were you I would run the ZJ coils with 2 extra stock spacers. Build a s-10 pack that levels out the rig. This should net you around 3" of lift. Then cut the fenders and through on some 31's. For shocks you can make spacers which will save cash and make this whole thing cost you around 50 bucks.
