Bucking at Lights/Stalled
Hey Guys,
I am new to this site. My jeep idles rough, and has been bucking every now and then when I'm sitting at a light. Even when I put it in park and hop out of the car, it sounds like someone is hitting the gas. (it stalled out on me for the first time yesterday)
Also, when I start out driving it feels like the car cuts out a little, I have to pump the gas again and then it takes off.
Check engine light has been on for months now, Kept throwing an O2 sensor code, though I have already replaced both.
I took it to a shop because I wasn't sure if it would have something to do with my injectors or something like that..but they said its probably just the way my car is reacting to the bad O2 sensor. So I replaced the rear one AGAIN yesterday, and still no difference. Seems like no one really knows what the problem would be. Maybe my crankshaft pos, need a tune up, PCV valve? I don't know. I'd apprecaite any ideas.
Thanks so much
Emily

hey, Emily....did the mechanic check the cat? should've....it will throw o2 sensor if cat is blocked and pressure/heat is built up in exhaust....was CheckEngine flashing fast when it first came on, months ago?!?! if so, it was signaling a failing cat!...have mechanic check back pressure at o2 sensors, no charge of course, should've done it as part of diagnostics!....you'll find where it's plugged up, then go from there...once sure it is/is not the cat/exhaust/o2, then check fuel system...systematically...
