Dana 30 open carrier??
I am going to gear my 88 down to 4:56.. I need a new carrier but the ones i find are listed for wrangler... Are they the same? also does anyone know the best deal on them and also on gears? Thanks

check out pirate4x4.com and go to the vendor section. get quotes from all the gear vendors there. thats where I got mine from is a vendor on pirate. best prices I found!

Sweet! thanks for all the tips man- i even decided to go 4:56 instead of 4:10 so thanks for that advice too.. What kind of MPG could i expect with 33's and 4:56- running 65 or so.. ?

no clue. I have not dd a xj in 5 years and that was stock at the time. if I was to guess I would say 1-3 mpg difference. never check my mpg in my rig, it would be to depressing. good thing its only a toy for me

Ha ha yeah sometimes it better not to even know. ithe only reason i ask is that i plan on driving to mexico maybe once and year, and possibly moab... I wish I could find some used parts....

Complete offroad has carriers for $59. It's made by Yukon. Sometimes you can find them a bit cheaper on fleabay. Spiders will cost extra but you can use the ones you have in the old carrier.
