bucking and jaring on exceleration...

bucking and jaring on exceleration...
any ideas what will cause this. went mudding last night and ever since its been acting crazy. checked and cleaned everything electrical. washed the engine out really good and thought it was fixed, but then an hour later the mess started again, it only does it when driving. last year it was acting up in a similar way and I had a bad crank sensor, but dont think thats the problem this time. its a 92 cherokee sport 4.0 ho 5 speed. any help would be great.
