You should buy a new cable as soon as you can, that is the throttle pressure cable and it will effect how the transmission shifts if not adjusted correctly.

Controls your trans kick down. Your J rig is excellent! Now you can plan to fix it.

That is a very bad thing to break! lol You have to drop the trans pan to replace the cable in the tranny end.

It's not adjusted right in the picture. It'll work short term but I sure wouldn't leave it like that.

as it looks like in the pic, it is downshifting early, so i would just get it fixed. new cable or just get one from a junk yard

Hey gang. Found this forum trying to search out the same issue. Neither link above seems to work. Hopefully you guys still use this forum and see this message, as I know some time has passed since the last post.

Anyway, I was curious if there was a way to fix the clip without replacing the cable. I just did my tranny fluid/filter and would hate to have to make that mess on the garage floor again. :-)

Any chance you can dig up the autozone link or similar again?
