Hello fellew xjers,
I just recently bought a 1992 jeep cherokee 4.0 that has 165 thousand miles to it and have some questions that I would love to be awnsered

Here they go?

1.The muffler has a leak and needs fixing. How do I do that ?(recently payed someone to fix it)
2. There is a leak coming from under the glove box which looks like water and I can see a metal radiator? that looks cracked. How do I fix that ?(only squirts with ac on)
3. Ac see switch to turn tempeture won't go to coldest. It is stuck. How would I fix that?
4. I would like to put a diesel crb engine in. How would I go about doing that, and what would I need

Thank you very much for any reply
I look for this to be a great learning experience
And again thank you

1. So someone "fixed it" and it still leaks? Take it back to em and tell em to redo it, and get it right this time.

2. That is the heater core. You're going to have to pull apart the dash to get to it and replace it. Do NOT use any sort of Stop Leak product to try and slow the leak. You'll only clog the rest of the cooling system components and make an even bigger headache for yourself. So just replace it.

3. I'd go to the junkyard for that and grab a working replacement.

4. May I ask why? The 4.0 is a very good engine. Just curious is all.

And welcome to Cherokee Forum!

Thank you for your reply. I want to change to diesel because I have easy access to biofuel/cooking oil and I think a jeep version of a diesel engine would be easier to transfer to another jeep

I've heard of Cummins 4BT swaps but never actually seen one.
