Default Broken clip on trans cooler line

I have broken the plastic clip on the trans line 3 times in 2 months. Is there a better solution to my problem?

You need to check that the trans cooer line hold downs are holding the line so it is not pulling on the clip .

If you search, someone posted the adapter to thread into the trans that has a barbed fitting and then they used some fuel line to connect to the steel line. There is also an adapter to go from the metric threads in the trans to a standard AN fitting. Do be gentle careful with the threads in the trans, as we see people posting periodically after they busted off the threaded aluminum boss.

I replaced the adaptors that go into the trans with (from memory, you can search this forum using that term) M14 x 1.5 male with 3/8" barb fitting, at the same time, I replaced the "easy disconnects" (which should be called SOB disconnects 😡 ), as they were leaking, and just ran hydraulic hose all the way, double clamp it

As Lawson mentioned, others have used AN fittings, which is probably superior

When removing the fittings, make sure your spanner goes down near the base, as its a hollow alloy fitting, and can snap if you are careless

this link shows what I did, there is a pic, and the size is as I said
