Yup, the little indent part that the nut "catches" on at the end of the line.Originally Posted by Xj88
is the double flair where you attach the ends (threaded ends male/female) to the tubing?
Here's a good video on how to do it.
I may give it a try just dont wanna mess it up and make the tube unusable
Been doing some reading, would it be doable to re-flare that hardline I cut, then buy an extended flex line and just fix the problem that way?

What're you talking....a couple additional inches of flex? No problem.
Just make sure the rest of the hard line is in good shape. If it isn't, may as well just change it all rather than wait for a failure.

I've already looked at it and it looks solid...trying to save some timeOriginally Posted by Radi

In that case I'd do it that way were it mine. Couple more inches of flex line won't change anything.

Where would I get the actual threaded part that screws into the new flex line. Also what kinda flex line should I get..I seen on a thread where someone used a line from a 1 ton dodge and it was nice and long...any ideas on the years?Originally Posted by Radi

Isn't there a junction block there, between the hard line and the flex? Could you relocate that back a bit?
The flex line itself- probably be easiest to bring the old one to the parts shop to match up with a new one of the correct additional length.

Yea I can disconnect it from the hardlines that run down the axle. Im gonna need a longer flex line because I broke the hardline it connects to. Im trying to find out what flexline will work on it...like i said I read where a line from a 1ton dodge would work.Originally Posted by Radi

Anyone have any confirmation as to what flexline will work? Im guessing the flexline I buy will determine the flare I need?Originally Posted by Xj88

Ok so I read a 96 dakota 4x4 line is 6 inches longer, I should be able to get it...and then a new flare and flare nut and be set...right???
