It's the valve cover breather. It's a cheap fix. U can but little cone filters that will fit at autozone or get a new one from a junkyard. But don't leave it open B/c Ull have unfiltered air going in engine

Don't sweat it Trace. At Oreilly auto parts that is Dorman part # 47079, it can be found with the stuff labeled Help. It is a crankcase ventilation elbow. Any auto parts store should carry it. They might want to call it a pcv valve but just use the Dorman # above, hope this helps.

supposedly you just turn them and they should come out.. I have tried and tried to get mine out but have had no luck. Mine are not broke but thought I would check it and see if they were clogged or anything..

There are actually two different part numbers for the elbows.
47057 is the elbow that goes in the back of the cover (towards windshield), 47079 is the elbow that goes in the front (the one you have broken).
You also need to replace the grommet, which is 42344...all of which are Dorman products. If your parts carrier doesn't use Dorman, they should be able to cross reference.
Some have key tabs on them, and you have to turn them 90 degrees and they'll come straight out. These elbows have the grommet already on them usually. The ones picture are harder to get out, they seal themselves into the opening with a lip on the bottom side of the grommet...the easiest way I found to do this is to cut away some of the grommet so you can pry something between the opening and the plastic elbow and pop the lip out. This can be done without really touching the elbow or breaking it for that matter.

May be different part numbers.
Both tubes running into the valve cover are an integral part of the crankcase ventilation system.
Brand new, both of them from the dealer will set you back about $35.
I have had best luck with pulling valve cover, cleaning everything thoroughly, replacing CCV hardware, new valve cover gasket, and you are good for another 150k.
