the brake hydraulics and clutch hydraulic are two separate systems. So who knows? take a look under the jeep and see if you see brake fluid everywhere.

Have you checked the master cylinder levels?

You're there. We're not.

Looks like your Jeep needs a good dose of "Noggin Pokin'".

Do that and report your findings here.

if the clutch master cylinder shares a reservoir with the brakes then chances are you have a hole in one of the systems. refill the reservoir have someone step down on the pedal while you crawl around and find the leak. repair said leak refill bleed test and report. however if it doesn't share a reservoir you need to repeat steps listed above.

Ok wasn't sure how the xjs were setup. Question to the op. Have you done any poking around yet. Arr fluid levels ok? Did this happen at the same time?

Must be those brake fluid sucking rodents. They've gone away from wire insulation and are concentrating on hydraulic hoses now. Weird mutation, I guess. Al Gore says it's because of global warming and Obama says it's cuz we don't have a debt ceiling limit in place yet. I'm worried that the next mutation may involve rodents eating EBT cards. Heavens to Mergatroid!!!!
