no, there's no wet spots and there is fluid in the master cylinder, no leaks. When I went to hit the brakes the pedal just went to the floor. If I pumped it a couple of times they would work but once I let off they wouldn't.

Master cylinder seals, most likely. Once they decide they are tired, they can just give up fairly suddenly. You can pump them up to get braking power, but it doesn't last.

So I bled the brakes and the brakes started to work again, not 100& but they work now. I'm not sure if there is anything else I could do to make it better

Master & slave cylinders can be rebuilt. Basically, you buy a kit and replace some seals. It's not difficult, and not really expensive. Cheaper than buying new.
