Brake Switch Install?
I have a '01 cherokee and need to know how the brake switch comes off it's bracket. I thought the new one i just bought would explain but still puzzled. Could it be a brake off old one and just push in new one type of thing? Thanks, Mike

If its like the old 87,
It actually attaches to the brake lever at the pushrod cross pin.
Just pull the hair pin, move the brake shaft off the lever and it should fall off.
New one goes on the same way.
It actually moves with the brake arm.

On my 97 the switch fit through a flat piece of metal and then was rotated into position. Try turning yours and it should move about 60* before it then pulls through the bracket.

Yes I found this write up which helped.

So once I plugged in the new switch, still no lights
I guess I need to figure out what fuse it to check it. Any one know?
