So, I know it's been beaten to death, the grooved steering knuckles and how it affects brake travel...but came across this thread. Looks like brake sliders from Explorers and TJ might fit the XJ? Same knuckle part #'s on TJ and XJ. I've ordered a set and I'll definitely let you guys know, just wondering if anyone's tried? I don't have access to a welder so I was thinking of filling in the grooves with JB Weld or similar and placing slider cap over. Sorry if it's been discussed before, searched a bit for the part #, didn't yield any threads here.

We've had a bit of weather by me so I haven't been able to get out and check. I guess I got too excited when I found this part, totally missed that it said for rears of the TJ. Guess that's why no one's done it here. I'll confirm though....just in case.
