i agree... whats sad is the amount of people i sell brake pads to that refuse to purchase rotors or resurface their rotors... "nah... the rotors are good"

Really? Your eyeball is a micrometer? might as well take a cheese grader to your pads... see you in six months!

Brakes are somewhat like engines or anything else how good do you want them to be? Online junk from China or at the other end hi-end racing applications.

This applies to rotors, pads, shoes, drums all can be improved but by how much? I choose a little less than middle of the road because I have kept my rear drum brakes. For rotors and drums I chose both OEM or better (New) as for pads and shoes there I upgraded to a race type used a lot in Circle Track racing. They cab be purchased at quite a few places anymore even a few Jeep sites, they are "Hawk" brand. They are meant for heavy duty use and handle heat well without fading.

the Hawks do quite well on the street as well, the Jeep is the first time that I have them there this long. I checked last weekend and they looked almost new after 8 months, not long but all I can compare. Off road and down steep hills long ones they hold for long periods no problems.

Since I did my brake shoes I figure I need to do my pads as well. Going to order a rotor/pad set from rockauto. Choices are 3 in tall and 3.25 in tall. Will both fit fine or do I need to figure out which one I need?
thanks
