I'm replacing my brake light switch and the replacement I got from autozone is completely different any thoughts

 

Return it and go to napa

 

Napa is going to give me the same one I bought

 

Oreilly gave me the right one, it was about 10$. Could try rockauto . com

 

They gave you a grand Cherokee one

 

what year is your cherokee?

i'd just go to a pick a part wrecker and grab an oem one from the same jeep as yours.

 

If no one local has it, LMK we can get you one for sure

 

Hopefully you gave the parts guys more info on your Jeep than you're giving us. Year?

 

Have you tried or are you guessing that you will get the wrong part again

 

There are 2 switches. One is white plastic with a vacuum fitting for the cruise control and/or the torque converter locking and unlocking. There's another one that fits over the pedal pivot that's for the brake lights themselves.
