About a week ago I blew the brake line that feeds the rear brakes. When the brake like broke the pedal went all the way to the floor and the brake warning light came on on the dash. I ran all new brake line from the rear to the reservoir and bled the brakes but the light is staying on. How to I go about getting the brake light to turn off? Thank you in advance for all your help.

I'm not sure this applies to the Cherokee, but in general, there is usually a "distribution block" that contains a switch. When one brake circuit loses hydraulic pressure, the balance is upset, and the light is turned on. Sometimes that switch can stick, and even if the problem is resolved, the light remains on.

Have you tried a couple of quick sharp pumps to the pedal?

It does apply. You have to re-center the differential pressure switch. Sometimes doing a hillbilly hoedown stomp on the brake pedal will do it, other times you have to open the opposite side of the circuit and step on the brake.

I had this issue and the "Hillbilly Stomp" fix worked for me.

Fill the resv to full, then run the engine , you need the vaccuum boost to clear, then stomp on brake pedal hard...should reset

Welcome to Cherokee Forum. Good advice. Unfortunately, you responded to a 10 year old thread. LOL.
We're working on a fix to alert folks to old threads like many other forums have.
