Going on my first wheeling trip and need to ensure my brakes are ok before I set out..Here is the issue: My pedal will slowly sink to the floor at a stop. Also If I slam my brakes my jeep just gradually slows. If I pump the brakes at a stop they build up but they dont stay that way. I had a local shop look at em and they just said they needed to be adjusted..which they did..it helped for a week or so now its doing it again...fluid is full..any ideas?
Sounds like you've got a leak somewhere. If you aren't losing fluid, then you probably need new seals in the master cylinder. It sounds like it is trying to work when you initially push the brake pedal, but the fluid leaks back into the reservoir so you lose pressure.

you might have air in the lines try bleeding them if it works problems solved if it doesnt your just out some brake fluid and you've crossed somthing else off that it could have been

X 3, you either have a leak somewhere in the system bleeding off your pedal pressure or you need a new master cylinder because the seal on the piston is worn out.

its pretty simpler here the basics ...i would follow the bleeding procedure that come with the master clyhttp://www.2carpros.com/articles/how...aster-cylinder
Changing the master cyl isnt hard to change at all ... Just make sure you bench bleed the master cly before you install it....The trouble you might have is getting the bleeder screws loose is the tricky part...There is a few ways arround a froze up bleeder screws not the correct way but it works... If u brake one off ur replacing parts... You can pm me if u want more info...
