I know the body style changed in 1997 and stayed that way till 2001 but how long was the previous style the same? 1990-1996? im going to buy a set of doors and make another set of half doors to sell and want to know which style there was more of. Alos if there are that many people out there with the older style vs. the new one. should I buy newer or older doors? any advise would be great, thanks

 

my 86 looks the same as a buddy of mines 90. if you got a 98 i dont think the old style would fit with out mods to it, even then i think it would look real funny to have a boxy door on your rounded xj

87-96 was the same style for sure,maybe all the way back to 84,That is the nice thing about xj's,they never changed much.

 

thanks alot for the help. i have half doors for mine and want to make another set to sell and wanted to find out which would work for more jeeps out there so they will sell easier. off to the junk yard this weekend.
