Default Blower motor replace?

My heat blows, but not very hard. Could this be the blower motor crapping out or a resistor of some sort? Of course it makes that extremely annoying screeching sound when I first put the heat on, but it goes away after a second or two. I get warm, it just takes a while which kinda sucks. I shelled out $400 last year to get the heather core replaced. I'll be doing the blower motor myself. How hard is it to do?

Very Possible

Not hard, just a bit time consuming

I heard somewhere that a fullsize Chevy blower motor will bolt right in & blows harder.I've yet to try this.

20 minute job. 3 bolts and a plug. All done from under the hood.

Doesn't the window washer fluid bottle need to be removed to get to it? I only ask because this is something I need to replace in the next month.

And try rockauto.com for the part

Not on a Renix. The washer bottle is on the driver's side. It is helpful thouth to remove the coolant bottle on the Renix for easier access.

I'll do some shopping around to see what I can find. Thanks guys! Maybe in the spring I'll put one in so I'm prepared for next year (or if I get the a/c system working again). Unless it get super cold this winter, then I'll hijack my buddy's heated garage and put a new motor in sooner. Haha.
