Hey guys, got a quick question. Is it possible for the ignition switch to be going bad causing no power at the blower motor fuse? Like everything is working correctly on it except the blower motor and radio actually. Today I checked the 25 amp fuse under the dash and it was dead. My ignition switch has been bad for awhile now as in it wouldn’t go to the locked position and allow me to remove the key. After fooling with it for a bit I actually got the key to turn backwards and remove it. It was very stiff and gummed up but then I turned the key forward to start and the blower motor came on and was fine but after turning the key back off and trying it on again later it was dead again. So is the hot being sent through the system then back to the fuse box under the dash and its somehow not making full connection in the ignition switch? This is the radio and blower controls… with a test light everything is dead in the blower control circuit behind the switch.

Without checking the wiring diagram I can't be sure, but that sounds about right.
Here's a good principle to follow: fix known problems first.
If you know the ignition switch is bad, fix it. Simple.
THEN see where you are with your radio.

I cant comment directly on a '92, but '94-96 have a ghastly habit of burning up ignition switch as full current goes through it, this was rectified for '97 and later
The pre-emptive solution I adopted was to relay out each fan speed, annoying but necessary imo, as eventually the fan will pull too much current, and will smoke something, hopefully a fuse
