Default Blinker issues

Okay so I havent drove my jeep in a while so I get in to go to the store and I turn on my left turn signal and the signal isnt flashing, the light just stays on and doesnt blink. Does anybody know how to fix this problem? I dont know much about chassis electrical or how blinker relays work so any help is cool, thanks guys.

Typically if you incounter this, it means you have a blown light bulb. If its your front that stays on, then I would check your rear bulb or vice versa.

my 96 xj did the same thing and then the right signal would blink really fast

check the ground wires in the tail light assembly one of mine was broken off from rust and the signal would stay on

It might take a little elbow grease to get the job done

You might need a new flasher.

There is a Harness under the air filter box that gets nasty. Pull it apart and spray electrical cleaner in it then put die electric grease in it and put back together. Mine did this too about 2 years ago and I did this and has been fine since.
