I have been running high milage blend in my xj for 2 years now, and was wondering if it would be ok to go full synthetic now. I also heard if you go sythn you cannot go back to regular oil is this true? you should be fine going to synthetic if you have been running a blend it would have apercentage of the detergencey level of full syn. It is an old wives tale that you cannot go back to organic or a blend. I am an amsoil dealer and I know that every thing we make is completley compatible with other oils. It was design so that if you need to top it off then you can top off with organic or syn. you would want to keep running syn. to keep your motor clean and better protected.
