Default Bleeding Brakes

All my life I have been bleeding brakes starting with the wheel farthest from the master cylinder. recently I have seen a few articles saying start with the wheel closest and work your way back. Has something changed ???

Sorry, I'm bleeding the brakes on my 1996 XJ......I though it would be OK here. I put stainless steel lines on after a lift.

You never start from the front, unless all you did was just replace a front hose or caliper.
Besides that, even if all you did was replace a wheel cylinder, if you used a line clamp on the hose you could just bleed the rear.

Why are you bleeding the brakes today?
