Biggest size tire?
Whats the biggest size tire you can run on a stock cherokee? I'm looking at buying a set for my brother (his birthday is coming up soon) and was wondering what would fit under it. It has no lift kit and the fenders haven't been cut. The most major thing that's been done to it is a set of fog lights.
If it matters it an 87 pioneer. Has a 44 rear end and a 35 front(?)

You'll probably get a lot of people telling you to do a search because this has gone over a million times, BUT....the answer is 235/75/15 for full stuffing without rubbing, and 30/9.5/15 with no/minimal rubbing depending on how aged that 24 year old suspension is

yea you could stuff some 31's under it with fender triming. or you could buy him a spacer and shackle (2 inches) lift with some 31's and they will fit. it would be under 100 bucks for the budget lift, and you can use all stock components with it, including shocks

After some minor trimming and installing bushwhacker flat style flares, I'm currently running 33x12.5 r15 pro comp xterrains with very minimal rubbing at full steering crank. And I have no lift yet ( it's in the mail ) I am however running 3.75" backspaced wheels.

Just a question, I bought my Jeep and the PO said it has a 6" lift, it has 32"x11.5
What is the biggest I can tuck in there without rubbing, it already had the fenders cut out. It also looked like there was rub marks on the control arms already.

This makes me want to go 31's and trim if I have to and get rims like that. I don't want to get a lift but if I can get 31's in there that would be great. I do need to maybe add a leaf to the rears as the back is very mildly lower than the front, or I could be lazy and cheap and get air shocks. Lol it needs rear shocks anyways? (just kidding.. maybe)

you could do a BB and get 1.5" coil spacer and a 2" shackle to make up for rear sag and to overall boost the ride enough to stuff 31's with 3.75 or less backspaced wheels.

I ran 31x10.50s on stock steel rims with no lift, absolutely nothing trimmed, the only thing they rubbed was the LCA when I cranked the wheel too tight.

So 30's should be fine on the lca's as they are only 9.5. For 31x10.5's, is 3.75 backspacking fine or should I go for 3.5? 3.5 would make the tires stick out a bit more which would look nice as well.
