Default big tires or bad brakes???

I've tried to search this with no luck, but I'm sure someone has had this problem as well!
I just got my new 31x10.5 swamper ltb's & idk if its cause of the bigger tire or just bad brakes,
but I can't stop as fast as I sould be! Just wondering if this is a comon problem or if there are any upgrades I can make???

Of course check your brakes but bigger tires make your brakes feel like crap. I have 33X12.50X15 and it feels like I'm never going to stop. check out grands have great rear bumper post for details.

Bigger tires are more moving mass! With a bigger or wider tire its harder to get it spinning and also harder to slow it down...

The front pads are like brand new but idk about the drums! I'm gonna tear into her this weekend!
Just wondering cause everyone talks about going with 33's or 35's & there is no way I could get those to stop!!!

Older Jeeps tend to have weak brakes. You might search for Rear Disc Conversions.

wont help that much. the OP needs to do a brake booster/master cylinder swap for moah powa.. especially if you dont have ABS since that means you have the weaksauce single diaphragm booster.
