This is the first day I have drove it since I have fixed alot of things. I did install a heater core and on my way to autozone I did overheat. Now I filled up my fluids and replaced the hoses causing the leak.
Now I have antifreeze leaking on the driver side of the engine. I have traced the lower hose and there is nothing leaking from there. Why am I dripping alot of antifreeze out of my left side of my engine? Dont tell me its a head gasket???
I have traced all the hoses I can see. What else could it be? Would a head gasket blown cause this? Its dripping down under the throttle body area. Is there some kind of line or hose there that I may not know about?

Thats is what I just heard about. How do I get to them? Do I have to remove the whole throttle body? Anyone got a few pics of where they are located?

So I have to remove the whole throttle body area and the manifold. Then look to see what it is that is leaking. At that point I should be able to see if its the plug or the head gasket right? That is the only 2 things that is there right? There arent any easier ways to look and figure this out?

If the head gask. Was leaking you'd know. The freeze plugs are easy to replace. Knock the top portion of the plug in, causing the lower portion to stick out. ( making sure that the plug stays pinched in the whole. If you knock the whole thing in, it will get stuck and you'll have a heap of fun trying to get it out. Pull it out with some pliers, when installing the new plugs(you want to replace them all) use a socket that is roughly the same diameter to drive it in. Slowly by the way.

You don't have to pull anything to see if its leaking. Just look under the intake and through the exh. Man. There very simple to see. They should be silver or copper circles about 1.5 inch. In diam. Six of them, allin the same order. In one line across the drive. Side of the block

depending on which one is leaking, its gonna be kinda hard to get to anything with the intake in the way especially when you go to drive the new one in. just my opinion
I would start with int./exh. manifolds. go from there, I would definately replace the gasket if you remove the manifolds. I would take the intake apart as an assembly.

Ok so I need intake gasket and exhaust manifold gasket and 6 plugs. And some lube. That should be all i need right? I like to have everything I need on hand before I start something.
Is there anything I can do temporarily to get me through for a week? Put some sealant around the freezer plugs?

antifreeze to refill system, like was stated earlier use a socket the same diameter, dont use one too small ive seen them cave in the middle before. As for temp fix rtv might work I dont know if I would try it though itll be hard to get it clean enough to get it to stick in my opinion
