Default Bias ply VS Radials

I just bought a 98 XJ,my first.I plan to lift it 3 1/2" and put 31's on it.I have been looking at super swampers and see that they have both radials and bias ply. What are the pros and cons of each? I plan to drive it both on and off road.
In doing a search someone mentioned problems with balancing the truxus mud tire.Anyone had that problem? They are what I am leaning towards, but the bias ply is cheaper and has more agressive tread.

I went with the swamper bias because I liked the aggressive tread design better. In cold weather if I let mine sit in one spot for a week they do get a flat spot. It will go away after a few miles on the pavement.

Basically if you want an aggressive, good all around traction tire, id go with bias, but if you drive it everyday on the road id go with a radial because a bias does not last on the highway. Yea bias are prone to not balance out as well and also get flat spots if parked long, but once you hit the pavement and they warm up it comes out of em. Most all radial tires have stiff lugs, where bias has soft compound rubber making them more aggresive and flex to them.

bias arent as stable at high speeds either, the rim can wander a bit in the tire. i had 38.5 bias tires on my jimmy and it wasnt a nice feeling when your doing 70

Same as everyone else. Bias for pure off road, radial for on road
