i would have to say, one that you build to your own specs for the type of wheelin you do.

Here is mine. It was cheap and I think it looks great. It comes unpainted.

^^ I agree with the first reply for sure . It is ALL about personal preference and intended use. Dig around the forum for a bit and get a feel for the look you like. This topic has been and will be discussed at lengh repeatedly so there is a lot of great info on the bumpers.

basics: you need recovery points and protection without sacrificing entry and departure angles. There are lots of styling variations for the front bumper (including winch or non-winch bumpers) and the major difference in rear bumpers is a rear tire carrier or not.

Enjoy doing the research,

yeah if you can weld and cut a straight line with a grinder, make it yourself. i buildt my bumper for under $40 bucks out of all scrap from a steel yard. took me about 5 hours to build and it holds up great. i'll put some better pics up in about 30 minutes.

For those of us who do not have the proper tools nor skills to fab up our own there are lots of options out there without breaking the bank.

A couple places I would look at...

http://nates4x4.com/
http://www.jcroffroad.com/

Also let's offer up information on bumpers that do not require a DIY type project.

http://www.logansmetals4x4.com/id8.html has some cool stuff.

depends on your wheeling, fab skills, ect.
