See i would rather pay alittle more or drop/swap my own trans then deal with a jeep that needs floors again. I'm glad i dont need pb blaster for every bolt or think twice about using factory hardware or breaking 1/2 the bolts i removed. Moral is if you have a solid chassis of a XJ and can find a parts car to convert it for very little (or upgrade at the same time ie: d44/9" or a doubler and save some more) then yea its a goo idea and you will learn alot about XJ if you never dove into one.
Anyway back to topic, at 4 or 4.5" is the threshold for the stock component of your jeep. To build something reliable and capable isnt going to be cheap

here's what i recamend.
-10 bastard pack it, and grab the rear shock while your at it.
-ford truck coils will give you the lift you need but it's gonna be a stiff ride and the zj coils might not give you enough lift. coil spacers can be made using pipe and a couple washers (look it up)
-buy some cheaper monroe shocks to get you buy for the front
-if an sye is needed, buy the seal kit and get a zj front driveshaft
and most of all, read before you build!
oh, and read up on this! -http://www.naxja.org/forum/showthread.php?t=1008084

I think you should just throw a locker in the back and give it a 2.5 inch lift at the most but If you have the parts then go for it, but will an S10 bastard pack really give you a 4 inch lift in the back? I mean if it dosent you could always use shackles but im just throwing this out there.
